About
A first-grader walked up to another first-grader and smashed his pack of graham crackers
It sounds like the beginning of a bad joke.
But really, it was the beginning of a long-standing friendship & eventual partnership. Cass Morrison and Grayson Rivera founded Tone towards the end of their time at the University of Oregon, building on years of shared history and a mutual interest in how ideas take form.
For Cass, Tone became a way to deepen his focus on brand strategy and digital aesthetics—drawing on design and systems thinking in shaping perception. For Grayson, it extended his instinct for business development and relationships—how companies grow, communicate, and sustain momentum.
Together, they built Tone as a practice that sits between strategy and design—translating ideas into visual systems that will survive the modern internet.
